These angled bars direct juices away from the burners to prevent flare-ups that could burn your meal.

Individually controlled burners run from front to back to allow more space for indirect cooking. You can see the sear station controls here.

The Weber Genesis S-330 Flavorizer bars cover the burners so that drippings do not flare up and impact food taste, and avoids clogs.
Similar to other grills in the Genesis family, the Weber Genesis S-330 includes a front-mounted control panel and individual electronic ignition system for each of the three stainless steel burners. In comparison, the S-330 and the S-310 have many features in common. Both models offer the following similarities:
  • 7mm diameter stainless steel rod cooking grates
  • 38,000 BTU-per-hour input.
  • Primary cooking area of 507 square inches
  • Warming rack area of 130 square inches
  • 637 square inches of total cooking area

The cooking area on the stainless steel S-330 and the S-310 models are large enough to entertain the family or friends with your finest grilling creations. The wide and deep drip trays are accessible from the front of the grill for easy cleanup.

There are only a few differences in these two grill models. The S-330 adds the following features:

  • 12,000 BTU side burner
  • 10,000 BTU sear station
  • Six tool hooks
  • Owner’s manual and recipes
  • Limited warranty

The Sear Station

The searing station is an essential additional feature for cooking excellent steaks. It helps to heat the grill faster (500o in five minutes). Also, great for cooking bacon, or other accompaniments to your meal. The two stainless steel work stations give a lot of area for food preparation, and the warming rack is a nice size to be sure that all of your meal is hot and ready at the same time.

The high-powered 10,000 BTU sear station is designed to give on-demand high heat for searing

The Weber Genesis S-330 grill is available for use with liquid propane or natural gas for a few dollars more. The propane tank is not included, however, the grill comes with a 10-foot flexible hose for natural gas. The largest in the Genesis family of grills, the S-330 is engineered with the latest technology and design features in the grilling market. Weber makes a Genesis island that is compatible with cabinet space that is sold separately. Weber grills are built to last a long time, so the company also recommends a grill cover to keep yours looking new for many years.

Weber Genesis Grills Comparison

Weber Genesis Grills are popular all around the world and for good reason. The quality and design of a Weber make outdoor dining a pleasure, and an opportunity to show off your grilling skills. Weber tests and checks every feature of each grill before it leaves the factory:

  • Burners are always ignition-tested
  • Frames are checked for extra strength and stability
  • Grills are engineered to assemble in under an hour
  • Grills are engineered to be fuel-efficient
  • Burners and valves deliver the precise input of BTUs
  • Burners reach high searing temperatures that are cost-efficient, so you don’t waste fuel

The Genesis family of grills finds its place between the larger Summit family and the smaller Spirit grill. The Weber Genesis has upgraded, bringing technology and features from the Summit group. These upgrades include front-mounted burner controls and an available sear burner. A recent innovation from Weber has improved outdoor grilling, adding exceptional taste, or flavor, as the name suggests. The Flavorizer bars are angled to direct juices down and away from the burners. This gives you flavor without flare-ups. The taste is like nothing you’ve had before from a backyard grill.

Genesis grills come in five outstanding choices for your outdoor grilling pleasure. Known for spacious cooking areas and first-class engineering, the Genesis series offers many similarities between these grills, but each has something different to offer for an excellent outdoor barbeque. Check them out to determine which one is best for you.

Compare the E-310 to S-310

These two grills are almost identical with three stainless steel burners, 38,000 BTU-per-hour input,
and individual electronic ignition for each of the burners. They both have a total cooking area of 637 square inches, making it easy to cook a variety of items at the same time. Both the E-31 and the S-310 are constructed with a front mount control system, porcelain-enameled heat deflectors and two stainless steel work surfaces. The 310 versions are the perfect size for most families and come in both propane and natural gas varieties.

Liquid Propane (LP) models the grills have an enclosed tank storage area and precision fuel gauge. The propane tank is not included in LP models and the natural gas (NG) grill includes a 10-foot flexible hose. The differences can be seen in the lists below:

Weber Genesis E-310 models:

  • Porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates
  • Porcelain-enameled Flavorizer® bars
  • Porcelain-enameled shroud with a center-mounted thermometer
  • Available color for Natural Gas (NG) grills: black
  • Available color for LP grill: black, copper, green

Weber Genesis S-310 model:

  • 7mm diameter stainless steel rod cooking grates
  • Stainless steel Flavorizer® bars
  • Stainless steel shroud with a center-mounted thermometer
  • The entire grill is stainless steel

Compare E-330 to S-330

Another pair of similar gas grills in the Genesis family are the top-of-the-line E-330 and the S-330 models. Either of these grills will cook up anything you like, with Weber‘s quality and reputation standing behind them. The individual electronic ignition makes grilling on the three stainless steel burners enjoyable and entertaining. The flush-mounted side burner and 10,000 BTU-per-hour Sear Station is Weber’s way to give you steakhouse-quality in your own back yard. Differences in the two versions are noted below:

Weber Genesis E-330 differences

  • Porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates
  • Porcelain-enameled Flavorizer bars
  • Porcelain-enameled shroud with center-mounted thermometer

Weber Genesis S-330 differences

  • 7mm diameter stainless steel rod cooking grates
  • Stainless steel Flavorizer bars
  • Stainless steel enameled shroud with center-mounted thermometer

The largest in the Genesis family of grills are engineered with the individual electronic ignition, 38,000 BTUs in the main burner; 12,000 BTUs in the side burner; and a 10,000 BTU sear station. These options along with the total cooking area of 637 square inches present numerous grilling possibilities.

Both the Genesis E-330 and the S-330 come with two stainless steel work stations that provide plenty of space for food preparation. The front-mounted control panel, painted steel frame, and porcelain-enameled heat deflectors set these models in a class by themselves. For convenience, The E-330 and S-330 provide six tool hooks, an owner’s guide with recipes, and limited warranties.

E-320 compared to the E-310 and the E-330

For the sake of comparison, the E-320 is a bit different representing a cross between the E-310 and the E-330. As it compares to the E-310, both have three stainless steel burners and run with 38,000 BTU input. Both also have the trademark individual electronic ignition and porcelain-enameled Flavorizer bars. Even the porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates are similar, and the cooking area is 637 square inches on both Genesis grill models.

Weber Genesis E-320 also offers a 10-foot flexible hose for natural gas grills and is available in the same colors as the E-330: Black for natural gas grills and a choice of black, copper or green for the liquid propane versions. The only difference between the E-320 and the E-310 is that the 320 model has an added feature – a 12,000 BTU-per-hour input flush-mounted side burner, similar to the E-330.

The Genesis family of grills offers both stainless steel and porcelain-enamel products to give you, the grill master, a choice. Both materials are used for outdoor grills because they are rust-resistant, hold up well in harsh weather, are durable, and have heat-conducting properties. Do you like the look of shiny silver or stylish black porcelain enamel? Or maybe you prefer a porcelain painted color, such as copper or green. The advantage of a stainless steel grill, it will last a very long time if cared for properly. The porcelain-enamel has a tendency to chip over time. If properly maintained, there is not much difference between stainless and porcelain-enamel. It’s a personal choice.

Weber Genesis S-330 is backed by a rock-solid warranty. You KNOW your Weber Genesis S-330 is going to be around for the long haul.
